Park is unusually laden with ticks and you will be too if you visit. Very dangerous to visit this park due to myriad of diseases that ticks carry. Keep your children away.

I went there around August of this year 2016. If you plan on fishing, be prepared for a long grueling hike before you hit water. It was extremely overgrown and the mosquitoes are relentless. I spoke with a local resident and she advised that Maryland has owned this property for some time. If they would just invest in a dedicated trail or gravel road to the water, this would be a great area. They also need to have a decent launch area for small boats and especially kayaks. At the very point there's a three to four foot drop off to the water. The lady I spoke to did mention there were plans in place to make this more user friendly, but I think I'll wait to revisit until it's done. Good luck !
